Marine Outfitting and Marine Insulation

Overview

The Seajacks project was a two-vessel project: the vessels Seajack Leviathan and Seajack Kraken are wind farm support vessels that have self-jacking capability similar to that of oil rigs.

Shield Marine was contracted to carry out access work – removing accommodation panelling and insulation to allow the welding teams to carry out their work. We covered areas of hot work with fire-resistant polythene and high temperature cloth to ensure that no damage was incurred and to avoid the risk of fire. The project required round-the-clock working, which was carried out on a two-shift basis.
