Asbestos Removal & Remediation, Strip Out & Enabling Works

Overview

The University of Bath 1 West, Phase 1 project consisted of the complete strip-out and removal of asbestos from the building.

This project was undertaken over a four-month period in 2012, primarily over the summer holidays when the site was less active.

Key elements of the project included the removal of contaminated stramit board roof panels to single storey and four storey buildings, removal of asbestos from contaminated structural beams, removal of external cladding panels, non-structural demolition and strip-out works, and the removal of steel work from the single-storey section of the building.
